Some time ago, I took a class in traditional Mexican healing or "curanderismo". This piece has some of the cosmology we studied; the sun and the moon, volcanoes, black or obsidian butterflies (this one is actually found in Borneo). In the background is earlier work which depicted some symbols of the Buddhist dharma. A multicultural tapestry.
