Leonardo da Vinci was searching for the cannon of proportions of a human being. Like Leonardo I, too, was searching for proportions (of fruit flies). This is a worksheet, in a way, and contains my preliminary sketches in several mediums. The color notes were made while the flies were still living. The title refers not only to da Vinci, but also to "Diana," the fly's scientific name.
